Is 2020 over yet?

I don’t know about you, but I am really looking forward to putting 2020 in the rearview. I miss live shows. Going to them, performing, even the obnoxious stuff like parking and load-in. What I wouldn’t give to just go play a damn show. But that’s not happening, and probably won’t for many many more months. I try not to focus on how long and how far away the prospect of returning to “normal” is. Instead, I’ve been burying myself in a lot of random projects, some musical, some of other artistic persuasions. You can hear some of my latest work over on bandcamp here.

I’ve also been a collaborator on some tracks from Obscure Colors, which you can also find on bandcamp here. Obscure Colors is the latest project from my These People Here bandmate, Rian Turner. I provided some keyboard help on a couple of tracks, as well as vocals on “Cowards.”

Speaking of These People Here, we are still working on mixing our latest record and hopefully will have a release first quarter 2021. I hope that’s not too optimistic, I’m really ready to put those songs out into the world! In the meantime, you can find our previous release, you guessed it, at bandcamp here.

And lastly, I think, the VR experience I’ve been a sound designer on for the last many moons is finally getting its time to shine!! It premieres at Sundance Film Festival 2021! #Sundance is doing things differently this year with online screenings and Satellite Screens across the country, so you can access it on your own screens or in your community! Hope you’ll join us January 28 - February 3. Tickets on sale, January 7: bit.ly/sff21-artist

Phew! That pretty much wraps up my 2020, but I have a feeling many more interesting things will develop in 2021, and SOMEDAY that will include more live music. Stay safe. xoxo
